Is the Flame Trap AKA the Spark Arrestor? 200 1982

So I got my car back from the shop (fixed timing belt) and the mechanic did tell me that I had a "plugged spark arrestor" and that it'd be about $75 to fix.

So, I am wondering, is he really talking about the flame trap?

He mentioned it would help with idling and general performance of the car.

So, is this what he is talking about?

I might as well try and clean the flame trap out anyways, ehh?
