85 240 - won't start 200

hello,

I picked up the free 240 in Charlotte, NC. A "mechanic" had previously "replaced" the main wiring harness, the PO claims that it ran for 2 days after.

When I got it there was no spark. Replaced ignition ECU and now there is spark. There is fuel returning to the tank from regulator and volume is fine. There is power at the injectors. No pressure test yet.

The AMM checks okay on continuity test.

The throttle switch does not read continuity to ground in either position as it should according to Bentley manual. Will replace the switch tonight.

Would this cause a no start condition???

Is there an easy way to confirm ignition timing?

Any ideas of other culprits?

Thanks in advance,
Chris
