Rear hatch lock 700 1991

Something or someone has run afoul with the rear hatch lock on my 740 stationwagon. The key won't go in (this is after it was parked for a couple of months at an in-laws house - I suspect kids put something in the lock).

Questions:
I assume the only action is to remove and replace the lock?

This being the case, can anyone tell me if RandRing the lock on the rear hatch is something a not-full-time mechanic should try or is it worth paying a bodyshop to do the work? And then does anyone have the steps to completing an remove and replace?

Thanks for any help you might pass my way.
