Heater fan source 140-160 1971

There was a fellow offering ball bearing modified heater motors
in Rolling mag sometime back. The problem is gummed up bearings
and possibly bad brushes, so if you can get it out you can fix it
pretty quick. Clean the bearings with lacquer thinner and then oil
them with machine oil - NOT penetrating oil, WD40, Kroil or any of
that stuff. The motor has plenty of torque but the bearings can
get gummed up pretty firmly.
Don't try to run the motor any more until you get the bearings
cleaned or you'll burn the windings.
