940 front shock absorbers 900 1991

Hi all,

I have a 91 940 sedan which needs to have the front shock absorbers replaced. I am gradually obtaining the parts to do this job. So far I have the strut mounts and bearings, the bellows and the radius rod bushes. Still to get are the bump stops (currently torn) and the shock absorbers.
The shockies that I can get most easily are Sachs gas shock absorbers? Does anyone have any experience with these? Aren't they made by Boge? Or do I have it wrong?
Also, I have Boge shocks on the back (Comfort ones I believe) is it a good or bad idea to have gas on the front and Comfort on the back? At the moment the back end skips a bit over bumpy corners and is a little disconcerting. Front Sachs were about Au$117 each and back ones Au$106 each making it about $450 for a set.
What are these Sachs like? Are these the ones made in Mexico? I'd like to retain a comfortable ride and I know that any new shockies would improve the handling. I'm no racing driver but I do like good control.

Any input will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Brad.
