96 960 - Is it possible I have OBD - I? 900

I have a 96 960 but I have certain characteristics from the '95 like 1 A/C high pressure switch as opposed to 3, and the service reminder light reset on the instrument panel. Is it possible that I also have the OBD - I that was used in 95? I have a panel that says OBD - II on the console, but I was hoping to do some diagnostics without having to buy a code reader. My check engine light is currently on.
