Stalls at quick deceleration 200 1987

I have an '87 240 wagon (~180K) that has been stalling recently when I come to a quick stop (no, not because I just rammed the car in front of me). This has been happening for a couple months now, and, as I recall, the mechanic cleaned the throttle body back in December '01 when I had the car in for a state inspection. I recently replaced the catalyic converter due to age and some leaking at welded seams, so that "shouldn't" be the problem (but you never know). It does idle rough on cold start, and will stall out if I don't let it warm up a minute or two. Also, it is running somewhat sluggish, not that it ever beat a Porsche off the line, but it doesn't seem to have the "get up and go" that it had even a year or two ago. As far as I know, no work has been done on any parts of the fuel delivery system (pump, sensors, etc.) since I've had the car (since '92). Any thoughts????
