'83 245 GL what was different about the Californian models????? 200

Howdy all. Just bought a car up here in Canada that was imported form canada. It's a 1983 245GL. B23f, M46. Just wondering if it has any significant difference than the cars that were delivery to the rest of the 'states. My main point of interest is the possibility of it having the lower 9.5:1 cr. I know that in general '83 manual cars did NOT get the lower cr (it was made the 1st half of '83 too). Just wondering if the fact that it's a california car would make a difference?
Thanks all,
-Kenny
