Remove your floormat. 700 1985

Antoher thing to check is to make sure you're actually getting to full throttle. Try removing your floormat and going for a drive, really pointing your toe into the pedal to mash it into the carpet. I've had the floormat scooch forward and prevent me from getting the pedal down as far as I should.

Other than that, as said below, above 4k rpm and floored, your should see more boost.

The controller and boost solenoid should be mounted on the front side of your air-cleaner box.
