car stalls when starting? 700 1987

my 740 has been stalling on me when i first start it for the day. this is kinda strange because my car has never stalled ever, not even when it was 40 below.
and also my rpms at idle at around 6-700 and it used to idle steady as hell at about 900-1000. the only thing ive done to my car before last week was get my oil changed, and i dont know if that would have any effect on it. it will stall if the car has been sitting for more than a couple hours. once i start driving its fine..but this really upsets me.. any suggestions???
