Tail lights 700 1988

are you sure this isn't applicable only to later model years? I have a 1985 745t and I have no circuit boards on any of my lighting assemblies.

I imagine this might have been added on to later models for some auto-dimming functionality or something (reverse lights fade out rather than turning off abruptly), but I don't think it is applicable to the 1988. If you look at the picture of his brick that he included you can see it has the old style front lighting system (isolated sealed beams, etc).

I'm inclined to believe that this may have been pre-circuit board design, and that the circuit board you speak of is applicable to bricks with the rounded/halogen front lighting system.

Just theorizing since I don't have a 1988 to look at, but seems to make sense.
