Temp Gauge 200 1984

Temp gauge on my 84 may be misbehaving; could be the reason it sometimes indicates hot, so say some brickboard members...

Took instrument cluster out, looking for the temp compensating board like on my 88 -- there isn't one...

What am I missing/do I need to look elsewhere?

Also, next place to look in tracing this is the temp gauge sensor/wiring; where is the sensor on my B21FT-IBS?

Thanks
