b20 Distributor vacuum advance

I'm pretty sure that some have both vacuum advance and vac retard.
I know for sure that early B30 distributors had both, because I used
to occasionally switch the hoses.
In any case the mechanical advance normally gives all the advance
you need and at full throttle there is not enough vacuum to give
any retard. Far as I know the major reason for vacuum advance is to
keep the engine from kicking back against the starter when cranking.
