timing belt tension 200 1989

Hello all,

Today I pryed back my timing belt cover to see if I had a leak around my cam seal and dicovered it was dry. However, I pushed on the timing belt and it did not seem very tight. If I gave it a little effort I could move it sideways on the groves of the sprocket. Is this to loose? and if so does this mean I need a new tensioner. The belt was put on 15, 000 km ago original tensioner 413,000 km.

Am I safe to drive?

Thanks all
