Amazon performance exhaust 120-130 1968

I'm about to get an exhaust system built for my amazon, and would like some advice. I know bigger is better, but too big will rob bottom end.
The current engine is fairly standard, fed by a single 45DCOE, into a FI dual exhaust manifold, which I plan to keep. What do I need after the manifold? Do I need to extend the 2 primaries before they join? What size pipe after that? 2", 2.25, 2.5"? How many mufflers, and where to locate them?

I will be using the car for TSD type rallies, and I don't want it too noisy. To complicate the picture a little, I also plan to rebuild an engine for it over the next year, to the 'fast road' type specs, and ideally would like to keep the same exhaust.

Any suggestions please?
