air conditioning cert. training from MACS?

I have read with interest this thread, as this very day I put into the wifemobile (1988 244GL) $130 worth of R-12 (2-12oz cans) that I found in the garage, and the cold is not cold enough yet.

Are you guys saying that I can download that test, get the license, and buy R-12 in the cans? That would save me from trying to contact the Mexican Mafia or some such southern outfit to get a few more cans.

Looking over the planned activity, (d) looks to be the only obstacle to your converting to RS134a, right? That stuff is so relatively cheap that I would be tempted to fix the leak, replacing all the "O" rings or whatever, just to end the R-12 hassle.
