Hose from Throttle body to flame trap busted. 200

Bricksters,

I went to clean my flame trap this Sunday and pulled the upper hose off of the beast and found it to be cracked right through the fat end. It was barely hanging on there. I cleaned it up, cleaned the flame trap, etc, put it back together with some heat tape and drove to work this morning (the dealer's 50 miles closer to work than home).

Here's my questions, the dealer wants $16 bucks for the hose, can I get it somewhere else? What kind, if any, damage could this have done? The flame trap was way plugged, I cleaned it about 60 days(6k miles) ago, what's up? Blowby? Last time I changed my oil, I was a quart down, this time I was fine. Any hints there?

Many thanks for any advice,

Terry
