Repair manuals for late 960/S90 900

My beloved S90 is at the end of the warranty period and I am ready to become intimately familiar with the insides of it so that I can perform basic maintenance and repairs myself. Is there a good manual for my car? I know I can go to www.volvotechinfo.com and order a whole bunch of service manuals. Are they any good? Which manuals do I need? I want to start with the engine. The website has the following item: TP2103201 Engines B6244, B6254, B6304, 1991 Model 960 @ $22.90. Is this what I need? They also list several manuals about Engine Managaement Systems. What are these for? Thanks for any help
