Clutch/Transmission/compatability 700

I had a post below involving clutches and tranny's. Well good news folks.
The clutch I ordered for a B230FT M46 from IPD came in today. Took it over to the Tech that is installing the manual tranny. We test fitted the clutch and flywheel on the tranny and found it will work in the M47 the salvage yard
got me. The flywheel is a stepped unit. IPD said it would not work based on the computer info they had on hand. You can use a M46 clutch in the M47 no matter what the book says. Just make sure the flywheel is the right one. From what the Tech told me it is the pressure plate that makes the difference. Hope this info can help others.
