Front end noises 87-740 GLE 700

Please help! I have a 1987 740 GLE with 230K+ miles. It runs great and tires wear perfectly. However there has been a constant jingling type noise coming from the front end which sounds like loose washers. It is particularly noticeable at slower speeds. There are no readily apparent steering component problems. With the front end completely lifted off the ground everything appears tight. Anti sway bar is shiny around one bushing but doesn't look like what the noise soundsd like. The only thing noticeably worn are the rubber boots on the struts but nothing feels loose. Although there are no noticeable affects to ride or handling, I hate to just keep ignoring the noise. Any suggestions??? Thanks! Thom
