Defunct NEW CD deck??? 200 1993

Check the output specs of the Kenwood and the input specs of your OEM amp. You could have been over driving the input signal to the OEM amp. For debug, try to hook the speakers directly to the outputs of the Kenwwod without going through the OEM amp to see if you get sound. Also make sure your speakers are compatible with your new Kenwood (4ohm or 8ohm as well as wattage capacity). That should be enough to get you started in the right direction.
