Ok, will attempt that check. Maybe tomorrow even! Ok, I have not read much about not reusing those bolts. I will check all the manuals I have more extensively.

Good point, I think the grease is more to preserve the good bearings.
The driveshaft we removed from the 84 had zirch fittings, so we greased those joints first, removed those fittings installed in my driveshaft and greased those and left the fittings on it.

I am thinking more and more it could be driveshaft and u-joint related. hoping too.
