88-94 Turbo pre-pump into 89 16v a success 700

I installed the pump made for the turbo model into my 89 740 16v today and all went fairly well.... The turbo pump is longer than the original (maybe an inch?) and slightly larger around.... But it all fit in ok... I replaced that little "accordian" hose with a straight piece of 3/8" fuel line just incase (also to support it a little because i dropped the unit and cracked the plastic piece! Ouch!)... it required a little trimming at the bottom where the pump goes in.... Overall i notice a significantly smoother idle... No bumps in the idle with it in gear with the A/C on (much better!) ... maybe slightly brisker acceleration, but i need to check the fuel pressure, I don't think all the HP is there... Although, after i got it in, the car sputtered a little bit on aceleration (air in the lines? or just low fuel??) after i filled it up, it's all better... I hope i didn't put the strainer on in the wrong direction (does it make a difference??) We'll see at the next tank of gas soon enough (75 miles today and the gauge almost reads 1/2! ouch!) I also noticed that there's baffles in the fuel tank... thought that was a little strange for a regular car to have!
