Shock replacement all around 700 1991

91 744 135K miles

OK Bricksters. Time to get my hands dirty. I have very little mechanical expertise since carbs and shocks disappeared....and with two kids in college even less $$$$ than mechanical experise. I'm counting on y'all.

I've read the FAQs and get the general jist of how to replace the strut inserts and rear shocks. BUT...just how difficult is the job. Is it pretty straight forward. You pros make it sound very easy. The cheapest I've found is $400 for all four and that does not include any bushings that may need replacing.

This is my daily vehicle, so I would have to get it done over a weekend. If I decide to tackle this, is there anything else other than bushings I should look for?

Suspension near critical mass. Makes driving the pitifully maintained Virginia raod system kind of interesting though.

Any and all input greatly appreciated.

Regards,

David
