Loud Moan when turning right 700 1988

I already know my U-joint is about to go in the back (clunking noise when slowing down out of gear); however, last night a friend on mine help me confirm that when ever I turn to the right at speeds above 10 MPH, the car starts to make a moaning noise. When i turn back to the left or center the wheel, the noise goes away. Its coming from the front end of the car. Could this be the wheel bearing and if so is that hard to fix? Or could this be part of the u-joint problem?
