white markings on accessory controls fading

every time I clean and detail the interior, the white markings on controls (i.e. horn icons on horn buttons, white line on headlight switch, cruise control button "off" and "resume") is slowly fading. I tried different kind of weak cleaners and even water down windex but the "ink" is very soluble.
Any suggestions?
