wierd thump after bushing changes 200 1977

Greetings all-

I have recently changed the bushings in my brick, without any serious problems. The car drives alot better now, but I am getting a wierd thumping sound. The thumping happens when I first start the car (it is not moving), and it sounds like it is coming from the rear passenger side. At first, I thought it might be the exhaust pipe hitting something, but I crawled underneath the car and everything seems tight. I find it strange because it happens when I am not moving, and it goes away when the car warms up. I never had this problem before the did the bushings. When I changed the bushings in the rear, I took all of the parts off (torque rod, panhard, and rear control arm) the car and gently laid the rear axle down. The I had the bushings pressed in, then out again, and put it all back together. I am assuming that everything is lined up, since the assembly went well. Any ideas?

Thanks-

Joe HC
