Brake Pumping causing erractic idling 900 1995

940 Non-Turbo

Some weeks ago I posted on my car idling erractically, especially in the morning. RPM would go up to about 1500-2000 and then back down to 500. I've checked vacuum hoses including mount and I think they are okay.

Recently I discovered that the RPM move erractically also when I keep pumping the brake pedal. The RPM would drop and go up just like it did every morning. I think I am closer to finding the problem part but I like expert advice from this board before I go out and start changing parts, which may be unnecessary. I am suspecting the brake booster check valve or the vacuum hose, although I can't see any leak in the hose.

Please advice. I'm willing to try anything as long as it is not costly.

Thanks

Laozong
