She ain't just whistlin' Dixie!?!?! 200

Hi Guys!

My 85 240 GL wagon has started to "whistle" at speeds from around 35 mph up to about 55 mph. For all the world, it sounds a little like the noise a small jet airplane makes when it is landing! Not a peep until you hit the magic 35, then a loud whistle (or maybe something that could be described as a metallic "screee") until around 55 mph. Not sure if it really goes away at that point, or whether the noise level in the cockpit is just so high you can no longer hear the whistle.

Any ideas out there? "Helga" has about 136,000 miles, an automatic tranny with overdrive, and a right purty new dark green paint job to go with her tan leather interior (don't think that last bit is critical to the question, I'm just bragging about the ol' girl!).
