Cables from Auto Tranny? 200 1977

Hi, I have just noticed a bind of 3 thin electrical leads running from the right hand front part of my auto transmission, ending in a capped terminal block, which I presume is meant to be bolted to the firewall(I have my head off for repairs). I checked my parts 245 which has a m45 and it has the same leads, which have been severed. My reverse lights, neutral start switch work find, so what are these leads for?

I was also wondering if anyone had installed twin exhausts on their Brick, and if any information pages exist for twin exhausts?

Thanks,
Aaron
