Lets see, what time did you originally post. 4pm on Sunday?? approx... I am guessing that most people who use this board are either busy working on their Volvos, gardening, or spending time with their families on Sundays. Then they probably go to work on monday morning. After they get the kids to bed on Monday night, then they hit the brickboard. I think the proper course of action would have been to simply wait a day or two and then re-post with a different subject and/or different info. I would hardly say that no overdrive is a severe driveability problem!! I think you can manage a day or two.

Even if you think the relay is good, you should still take it out and re-solder the connections. While you are at it re-solder the fuel pump relay too. It might save you a headache down the road. have you chekced the solenoid like your lone responder suggested???
