How to properly hook a fuel pressure guage tool to the 240? 200 1986

Hi there,

Am still sorting out fuel delivery issues.

The main pump sounds really quiet (maybe that's a bad thing.. But it does have a buzz noise.. just really quiet)

The in-tank pump makes no noise at the gas filler hole.. SO i'm changing it out tonight (or I have one purchased if I end up needing it)

But last week I purchased a fuel pressure guage to check the pressure before I put on the new fuel filter.

Then I discovered that there is no place to hook it up on the fuel rail, and that you need a Volvo special part to do so.

So my question is how to do this without the part?? Or where to get the part, and how much does it cost?

They suggest cutting the fuel line to splice in the plastic schraeder valve that came with the fuel guage kit.. BUT, i don't want to go hacking into the fuel line. Or if I do, i want to be able to fix it properly.

Thanks for any info, tips, or tricks,

Luke
