Temp. problems cured w/new belts ... not so fast ... need more help 200 1989

Hi Bricksters,
Recently I have been posting with questions on high temp problems with a/c on and below normal temp readings all other times. Put in a new t-stat, flush & fill, cleaned radiator, etc. That fixed the high temp problems but not the below temp readings. I just got all new belts and the temp is running right at 9:00. My '89 no longer sucks!!! - "thanks for sharing ... keep coming back"
--Not so fast--
Aw shucks ... I guess I jinxed myself with the early post. I just drove it around and while stuck in traffic, the same thing happened, high temp readings with a/c on and ideling. I can't take it anymore. Do I have a blown head gasket or something awful like that?
