random electronic failures. 700 1988

I would confirm that the CEU may be the issue. I have a 90 740 that had several random electrical faults. Removal and a complete cleaning, regrounding and application of an oxide inhibiting paste corrected the problems. Similar issue with a 76 240 that had a leak in the firewall (well, the place where the fender terminates into the firewall and door post area) above the fender level (bad weld) that let small amounts of moisture in while driving in rain. Good luck!
