In-tank fuel pump assembly hoses 200 1983

There are 2 hoses that run from the in-tank fuel pump assembly:

One is the delivery of fuel to the external fuel pump.
The other is return fuel to the tank.

In changing the pump I had to cut the return fuel line and to my surprise, it is mounted on a barbed fitting. This plastic hose (covered by rubber jacketing hose) is getting brittle and I want to replace it.

The other end of this hose seems to connect to a rigid line with a coupling and is clamped in the vicinity of the driver side rear wheel well.

Does this coupling also have a barb fitting for the return fuel line? In other words, does the flexible line connect to a barb on both ends or do I need to purchase a hose/coupling assembly?

Please save me hours of volvo supination
