*Engine Degreaser Solution*

Volvo parts are pretty expensive to spray water on. Moving greasy dirt from your engine block to some expensive sensor does not make much sense.

I use kerosine and a brush and rag on metal parts, paint thinner is about the same.

I usually use WD-40 on other parts.

Try not to use butyl based cleaners on rubber.
