240 Problems 200 1986

I just recently got a 1986 240 DL, I love the car but have a few problems with it.

1.) On some days usually in the morning or at night after it has cooled down there will a screeching coming from what sounds like a belt, it will usually go away once I start moving but will come and go at different engine RPM. Also, how would you fix a squeking fan belt?

2.) When the car and transmission is cold (like in the morning or when the temp outside is below around 65) the automatic transmission will not shift until after I drive a little more then a half-mile.

Any help is welcomed! Thank you in advance! Also if anyone is from the Western Mass. area, are there any good shops that will do good work on Volvos?

Thanks,

Chris
