Simple Green works so well, is relatively inexpensive, relatively biodegradable why look further? It's safe for your skin, but wear gloves anyway. Some people have slight allergies to the odorant used in Simple Green.

Worst case you may need to repeat once or twice for the real thick stuff.

The purple shit from Castrol cuts the nastiest crap but will etch and discolor aluminum, your hands and your eyeballs.

Oven cleaner? No fuqing way.
