The beginning of the end?...bulb failure light curse 900 1992

Just kidding, but I do have a pesky bulb failure light that won't go out on my 960 wagon. It will stay on at both positions, so I'm sure it's not the headights. I've replaced all four parking/brake/turn signal bulbs (eventhough none were out) and inspected the connections. All appear clean. I know there may be ground problems, but not sure where to look on this beast. I guess it could be the sensor itself, but I have never had to replace on, so I haven't been thinking along those lines. Any suggestions?

BTW, how the hell can you work in that little space called the rear bulb access? MY fingers are neither small or nimble enough. It was all I could do to get the darn bulb holder back where it belongs. I could never be a dentist!
