strange, infrequent stalling 200 1985

My 1985 245DL, B230f stalls about once every 2000 miles or so. Usually it happens when I am coasting. Tach does not immediately go to zero, but goes down as the car slows down (with auto tranny in gear), suggesting that the ignition system is not the problem. The last time it happened, it would not start again until I unplugged and reconnected the air mass meter and 25amp fuse next to the coil. It then started up right away and ran normally.

The car has a new wiring harness, so I'm thinking the problem is probably with the AMM or LH ECU. Any ideas/electrical tests I can do to check these components?
