getting ripped off

If you haven't had tires mounted and balanced on them, and you haven't put them on the car yet, then maybe you should give it a try. I have several 240 Turbo wheels that have bends on the edge that don't cause any vibrations. My right rear wheel is bent badly enough that if I firmly press on the sidewall of the tire, I can make air leak out. All 6 of my turbo wheels have balanced fine, and I think only 2 of them have no bends at all. I just did several hundred miles of high speed driving last weekend, and I can assure you that my wheels don't cause any vibrations up to triple digit speeds.

Good luck.
