Posted last week regarding the irritating loud humming even after replacement of pre-pump.What made this problem unique (for me)is the humming disappears when I disable the pre-pump(by unplugging fuse #11 -pre-pump fuse).Turned out to be that the main pump w/c was installed by P.O. was an after market no good pump.A good used main pump and a new volvo filter got the project car quite now!!Thanks to rt and everyone that responded to my post.BTW,I also replaced the wiring harness on this car last month.
