On Guard security system question 700

Interesting. I can't find any information about the system elsewhere, although there aren't any numbers on any of the window panels or on most of the panels for that matter. Maybe they did just plaster all the cars with On Guard stickers. I've never really paid much attention. The only thing that grabbed me is that all the doors unlock when I pull the driver's side door release. But if I let it back without opening the door, they lock again (presuming they were locked to begin with). There's no mention of this anywhere in any manual that I've seen, although it seems logical. That made me realize that there's a driver's side lock motor which I was under the impression there wasn't.

I don't know if my dad's 940 does the same thing (1993). I'll check it next time I get a chance. His car does have On Call stickers ($5000 reward, blah blah blah) but not On Guard.
