Replacing front turn signal lens 700 1987

Hi all

I am wondering if there is any trick to replacing the front turn signal lens (long skinny one) on a 87 760 wagon. One of the nuts especially is sandwiched between two plates making it very difficult to get at it even with a small wrench. I looked in the Haynes book and it mentioned replacing the parking lens but I couldn't find anything on the turn signal lens. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
