Alternator Q

How many miles on this beast? If it's over 200K, it might be worthwhile to find a 1987-on 740 Turbo alternator (100A Bosch) and swap it in. The alternator that was originally in my '82 242 wasn't all that worn out at 230K, but I wanted a higher amperage alt. Dirty mutha, tho... Was covered in gunk. 55A just doesn't cut it, sometimes. Especially when you're planning to run 130/100W H4 bulbs in your headlights.
