No power to A/C compressor 700 1992

Well its been some time since I worked on one but I remember that you must make sure that the compressor is grouned in the back by the brackets. Its a loop that screws in with the adjuster screw. I'm not sure if this test is the right but try it. Take a booster cable or heavy wire and run it from the negative terminal to the compressor body( any where on the metal part of the compressor). Due this while after you turn the car on and have the AC running high. Tell me what happens. BE CAREFUL.
