No power to A/C compressor 700 1992

Had the same problem with my '92 745. The problem is the CCU(climate control unit). This is the switch that turns the ac on and off and sets the fan speed.
Pricey at the dealer $680+. Got mine on the internet from a salvage yard, replaced it and problem solved.
This is a very common failure in the 700/900 series.
My suggestion, take the unit out and take a look at the solder of the circuit board. If you see brown spots on broken solder, resolder these areas. This might just do the trick. I've read about other bricksters resoldering this unit and making work like new. If it doesn't work, you're out $0. Then try getting a used one.
Good Luck,
John
