You might want to contact Paul Seminara. He has a dual remote bypass filter system on his 245 turbo. I've not checked the 940 layout, but might be room for either a single or dual bypass setup.

Another suggestion is to change your thinking rather than your oil. A good synthetic (AMSOIL comes to mind) can run at least 5K, probably double that with just a filter change at half point. Do some oil analysis, set your own drain, and stay out from under the car!!!
