RE: OD Behaving Badly

Thanks to all for the helpful suggestions. The car has an automatic tranny. I will
obtain a new relay and have son install it.
I grounded the CD first to the cigarette lighter ground wire (solid black) but it would fluctuate on & off, (the charge indicator light on the small flashlight that replaces the lighter would also flash on & off- I figured a bad ground). Then I used another SB ground wire near the driver's foot- CD works fine now.
If the OD relay is grounded to the same point as the ciggy lighter, then the erratic behavior is probably due to this poor ground.
Where does the cig lighter wire ground to?
Again, muchas gracias for the help.
el Raidman.
