Adjusting the Fuel Mixture on a 262?????? 200

Okay so I have the 80' Bertone.. Drove it back from houston.. fuel economy was HORRIBLE... and it felt like I was driving a diesel... I run a bottle of fuel injector cleaner through it and fill it up (im only using premium on it BTW. Doesn't seem to do shit but I figured it was worth a try anyway. It also runs a little bit on the warm side I decide that the problem HAS to be that the car is running way too rich... so I go out and dick with the mixture at the fuel distributor and took it for a spin and it actually felt like it had some balls.. well little balls but balls none the less. So what I need to know is how to properly set the mixutre. Although it is running better it is far from perfect.. it idles high and rough (bout 1,500 rpm and feels like its misfiring) I'm going to go check some stuff right now (make sure all the spark plug wires are good, check the timing. BUt I know that the mixture is still off becuase like I said.. all I did was dick with it... didn't properly adjust it or nothing.
